This 13-day photographic excursion will take place in the countryside of Japan where slower lives and a sense of tradition are still preserved. Project Basho, which was started by a Japanese photographer, has chosen Kanazawa and several locations in the Noto Peninsula to be the first desitnation in Japan for this excursion program for photographers.

  1. Hi Tsuyoshi and Tom! Sounds and looks like the trip is going well and I’m jealous! Tom- Can’t wait to see the images from all those cameras. Tsuyoshi- I noticed your comment about shooting with the 7×17 and how it has changed your willingness to shoot with the 8×10. Isn’t it funny what we get used to doing and then promptly forget we do…until something comes along to snap us out of our complacency. I’m looking forward to seeing how your images shift again after this trip. Landscapes/cityscapes have a way of also moving us out from our point of reference when we open ourselves up to what’s really in front of us. AK
